Rates & Getting Started

Session fees, policies, and what to expect — stated plainly, before you begin.

  • Extended Session, 90 minutes (available by request) — $220

  • Initial Assessment, 90 minutes (required first appointment) — $235

Out-of-Network

Current Clinical Studio is not currently contracted with commercial insurance plans and does not submit claims directly to insurance companies. Clients pay the session fee at the time of service.

Your plan may offer out-of-network benefits for counseling or psychotherapy. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for you to submit to your commercial insurance plan for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact your insurer before beginning services to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, telehealth coverage, and claim requirements.

A superbill may contain information required by your insurer, including a mental health diagnosis and service codes.

Medicare

Medicare beneficiaries who elect to receive services must sign a Medicare private contract and are responsible for the full cost of care. Neither the client nor clinician may submit the contracted services to Medicare, and Medicare will not provide reimbursement. A receipt may be provided for personal records, but documentation will not be issued for submission to Medicare. Clients who wish to use Medicare benefits should seek a Medicare-enrolled clinician.

Payment Policy

A payment method on file is required before the first session. Session fees, late cancellation fees, and no-show fees are non-refundable. If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact the practice directly so it can be corrected.

Getting Started in 3 Steps

  1. Free phone consultation. 15 minutes, no cost, nothing on the calendar yet. We talk through what's going on and whether this is the right fit — for both of us. If it's not, I'll say so and point you toward other options.

  2. Initial assessment. A full 90 minutes by telehealth. We cover your present concerns, relevant history, relationships, responsibilities, stressors, symptoms, strengths, and goals — enough ground to start the work on solid footing.

  3. Ongoing sessions. Regular 60-minute appointments, with 90-minute sessions available upon request, when you want more time and it's clinically appropriate.

Session Format & Length Policy

Sessions are held by telehealth statewide or in person in DFW-area senior living communities. Telehealth sessions are conducted through the practice's secure video platform; standard telephone calls are not used to conduct sessions.

Clinical concerns are addressed during scheduled sessions; therapy is not provided via email, text, or portal messages.

Sessions are scheduled for a full 60 or 90 minutes. Arriving late or leaving early does not reduce the fee, and sessions will not be extended to make up time missed due to late arrival.

For information about communication, messaging, and how to request records, please see the Policies & Client Rights page.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

  • Sessions canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice incur no fee.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged a $75 fee at the time of the originally scheduled appointment.

  • Appointments missed without notice are charged a $75 no-show fee.

  • Cancellations and rescheduling requests may be submitted by phone/voicemail, email, text, or through the client portal.

  • If the clinician needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, as much notice as possible will be provided, and no fee will apply.
